Authentic Leather, Made to Last

Everything we make is genuine, hand-finished leather. A little care goes a long way — here's how to keep your Laconias bag looking beautiful for decades.

100% Authentic Leather

We use only genuine leather — no synthetic imitations, no coated fabrics. Real leather has a distinct grain, a natural smell, and a warmth to the touch that no lab can replicate. Because it's a natural material, small variations in colour, texture, and grain are expected and beautiful — every piece is uniquely yours.

Our Materials

What We Work With

Cow Leather

Full-grain and top-grain cow hide — the foundation of most of our collection. Strong, structured, and famous for developing a rich patina over years of use.

Best for structured bags, belts, and everyday carry.

Goat Leather

Softer, lighter, and finer-grained than cow. Naturally supple with a subtle sheen and beautiful drape — the kind of piece that gets better the more you use it.

Best for soft totes, pouches, and clutches.

Fish Leather

A sustainable specialty leather made from responsibly-sourced fish skin (typically salmon or perch). Instantly recognisable pattern, remarkable durability, and a genuinely rare finish.

Reserved for one-off private collection pieces.

Care Guide

Do

Wipe Gently

Use a soft, dry cloth for regular cleaning. For spot cleaning, a slightly damp cloth is fine — let it air dry immediately.

Condition Occasionally

Apply a small amount of quality leather conditioner every 3–4 months. This keeps the fibres supple and prevents cracking.

Avoid

Avoid Water

Leather doesn't love prolonged moisture. If your bag gets wet, blot (don't rub) with a dry cloth and let it air dry away from direct heat.

Avoid Direct Sunlight

Long exposure to sunlight fades and dries out leather. Store in a cool, shaded place — ideally in the dust bag your bag arrived in.

Avoid Heat & Chemicals

Radiators, hot cars, harsh cleaners, perfumes, alcohol, and hairspray all damage leather permanently. Keep your bag away from all of them.

A Small Note

On Natural Variation

Because leather is a natural material, no two pieces are ever identical. Slight differences in grain, colour depth, and surface markings aren't flaws — they're the fingerprint of the hide itself. Over time, your bag will develop its own patina and character, marking it as unmistakably yours.
